Three Letters Game - Tips for Playing
-
Watch the monkey’s expression – the harder the round, the more pained he looks.
-
Remember that each letter’s value is like in Scrabble, so try to incorporate those Qs, Zs, Js and Xs.
-
Try and make the words as long as you can - pluralise and conjugate to add extra letters.
-
Try and place letters on the bonus squares for a higher score.
-
The game gets progressively more difficult, so try and get as many points as you can while you can.
-
But any word is better than no word – the timer is unforgiving, and there is no way of getting extra lives.
-
It’s tempting to see the three letters together, particularly at the beginning of the word, but remember that they could all be separated throughout the word.
-
You can try out different combinations of letters – perhaps the three letters could start a word.
-
The game will warn you if you have mistyped and you are not spelling a valid word.
-
Remember also that letters can be pronounced in different ways, or even be silent.
-
If you have a bad day, there’s always tomorrow. Or try the random letters mode and play again that way.
